SCHOOL FINANCE

LCFF AND LCAP: Not just Acronyms

Have you heard of LCFF or LCAP? LCFF, or Local Control Funding Formula, is the new way California is funding public schools. As a result, San Francisco Unified School District will be receiving more money per pupil beginning this current school year. The California State PTA has a great page talking about school finance that includes information about how LCFF will affect you and your school, and what kinds of questions you can be asking. LCAP is the Local Control Accountability Plan that each district must adopt which describes how the district will be accountable to its students and the greater community. Parents play a critical role in this plan.

Here are some helpful handouts you can distribute at PTA meetings or you Wednesday folder.
